👁 Project 2
👩💻 ABOUT THIS PROJECT
This project involves incorporating a new feature into an existing app, Weee! which specializes in Asian grocery delivery. Through interviews and user feedback, I identified the issue of food freshness. To address this, I added a "Freshness Filter" feature, which organizes food by its shelf life and displays items with different expiration dates at different prices, allowing users to select the freshest option and potentially save money.
🎬 DESIGN PROCESS AND TIMELINE
😎 PROBLEM & SOLUTION
THE PROBLEM
Like most grocery delivery online platforms. It can be hard for the users to make sure of the FRESHNESS ISSUE of the food. Additionally, groceries that are nearly expired will be WASTED.
THE SOLUTION
Add the new feature "Freshness Filter" for it, which categories groceries according to their SHELF LIFE, and food prices will be different depending on the freshness condition.

🔍 USER INTERVIEWS
To find more inspiration, and have a better understanding of Weee!, I interviewed 7 Weee! users trying and ask them 10+ open ending questions to find out some significant issues from their feedback. In conclusion, there are 3 main significant issues mentioned by most of the interviewees:

💡 INSIGHTS
Incorporating the Freshness Filter feature presented a challenge in terms of user experience, as it required users to select expiration dates for each item. To simplify this process, I spent a lot of time adjusting the placement and size of buttons to make the interface more user-friendly. I initially underestimated the importance of small design details, but I realized that they can greatly impact the overall success of the design.
Through this project, I also learned the importance of staying focused on the main goal and not getting sidetracked by other issues or wanting to change too many things at once.

📝 CONCLUSION
Innovation was at the core of this project, and it required me to think beyond the boundaries of what currently exists. To truly understand the shortcomings of this platform, I had to push myself to look at it from new angles. Through market research, I discovered the importance of understanding the needs of our users before introducing new features. Our goal is to create solutions to existing problems and it was vital to gather regular user feedback to ensure that our solutions align with their needs. This project is a work in progress and I strive to improve it by streamlining the user flow and developing a more impactful branding system. The key to effective design is the ability to identify and solve problems through research and user-centered approach.
